ACCREDITATION, APPROVALS, & LICENSING
 

  • The College of Wilmington is accredited by the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education.  The Commission of the Council on Occupational Education is a national accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education.  Based on this accreditation and recognition, students at the College of Wilmington may apply for Federally funded Financial Aid such as Pell Grants and Stafford Loans. 

 

  • Licensed by the North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges.  The North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges is not an accrediting agency.

 

  • Licensed by the North Carolina Board of Cosmetic Art Examiners.

 

  • Approved by the NC Board of Massage & Bodywork Therapy

 

  • Approved by the NC State Approving Agency for participation

           in Veteran's Benefits.

 

 
Current curriculums are also approved by the N.C. State Board of Cosmetic Art and Licensed by the North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges.  The North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges is not an accrediting agency.
